Vice President, Media Relations (PR)

About the role

TEAM LEWIS, a global marketing agency, is looking for a Vice President, Media Relations (PR) based in Boston. The VP spends half their time leading and managing the US client, working closely with senior peers across the US and the London office. They own the US client relationship, build and maintain media relationships, drive outreach for campaigns and provide strategic and creative consultancy on the client's integrated marketing journey.

Key responsibilities

• Build trust with the client, advise strategically and creatively, and run retention and growth initiatives
• Brief the creative engineering team on multi-channel campaigns
• Run executive media relations programs, including media training, for senior and C-suite clients
• Evaluate and measure campaigns rigorously and ensure consistent service and results
• Grow client revenue by identifying and securing upsell and cross-sell opportunities
• Manage client profitability, budgets, costs and resource planning
• Help identify prospects and intermediaries, and lead or take part in pitches and credentials for multi-market prospects
• Cascade US clients across the global network
• Manage and develop a team of direct reports, including hiring, mentoring and training

Required profile

• Evidence of running a large global client autonomously
• Experience in the tech sector strongly preferred
• Track record of exceeding goals and sound decision-making
• Successful commercial and operational management experience
• Experience leading and winning pitches
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Ability to problem solve, project manage and multi-task

Required skills

• Strong media relations skills and close relationships with notable media
• Good understanding of trends affecting business and stakeholder audiences
