Vice President Information Technology

About the role

The Vice President of Information Technology will report to the CFO and serve as the senior leader responsible for all aspects of the company’s technology function. This hands‑on executive role is ideal for a leader who thrives in a fast‑moving, dynamic environment and can balance strategic direction with rapid execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all IT functions, including infrastructure, applications, end‑user support, and external service providers.
• Identify and implement technology‑enabled improvements across core business processes such as onboarding, collaboration, data access, and operational workflows.
• Create a culture of service excellence, ensuring reliable, high‑quality IT operations for both on‑site and remote employees.
• Oversee design, optimization, and scalability of IT infrastructure, including cloud environments, endpoints, and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft 365).
• Lead cybersecurity initiatives, including risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and employee awareness programs.
• Drive adoption of new technologies and process improvements through pragmatic change‑management approaches.
• Establish and maintain IT policies, controls, and documentation to support SOX and other regulatory compliance.
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service delivery to ensure performance and cost‑effectiveness.
• Develop and manage the IT budget with a focus on efficiency, ROI, and scalability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• 12+ years of IT experience, including 8+ years in leadership roles, preferably in small‑to‑mid‑size biotech or life‑sciences environments.
• Proven success operating in high‑growth, fast‑paced or start‑up settings where adaptability and speed are critical.
• Demonstrated ability to drive business‑process improvement and implement efficient operating models.
• Hands‑on, results‑oriented mindset with the ability to pivot quickly and re‑establish goals.
