Vice President, Global Accounting

About the role

Lyra Health, a provider of evidence-based mental health care, is looking for a Vice President, Global Accounting to report to the Senior Vice President, Global Controller. The role leads about 16 professionals across accounting operations, consolidated financial reporting and treasury, and is responsible for scaling the accounting function so it can support growing business complexity and meet public-company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead corporate accounting, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, lease accounting, consolidations and related operations, and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting under U.S. GAAP.
• Set accounting policies, governance and processes, and evaluate and implement new accounting standards.
• Design and implement a scalable SOX compliance framework, strengthen close and consolidation, SEC-quality reporting, internal controls, systems and audit readiness.
• Standardize and optimize accounting processes globally, champion continuous improvement and leverage automation, AI and modern financial systems.
• Strengthen cash visibility, liquidity management, cash positioning and working capital, and advise on capital deployment and financial risk.
• Build, develop and retain a high-performing accounting organization and act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.

Required profile

• 15+ years of progressive accounting experience leading complex, global accounting organizations.
• Public-company accounting experience and a deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, SOX and audit requirements.
• Demonstrated success leading accounting transformation, process standardization, automation and continuous improvement.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA required.
• Executive presence, strong communication and collaboration skills, able to thrive in a high-growth environment.
