Senior Lead, Enterprise Strategy and Operations

About the role

Shield AI, a venture-backed defense-tech company, is looking for a Strategy & Operations Lead to help define enterprise strategy and ensure its operational execution. The role sits within the Strategy & Operations team and gives close exposure to key decisions on aircraft systems, AI software (Hivemind), autonomy hardware and international growth. It suits professionals who want to grow into future strategy, operations or general management leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Support multi-year strategic planning and annual operating strategy cycles, and evaluate portfolio tradeoffs across platforms, software, hardware and emerging growth areas.
• Run market sizing, competitive analysis and scenario modeling across U.S. and allied defense markets.
• Build financial models and analytic frameworks for investment decisions such as new platforms, manufacturing and international expansion, assessing TAM, margins, capital intensity, payback and risk-adjusted returns.
• Help develop enterprise-wide capital allocation frameworks and governance processes.
• Turn strategic priorities into cross-functional execution plans with KPIs and milestones, and track progress through monthly and quarterly performance reviews.
• Identify bottlenecks, analyze root causes and recommend solutions to keep execution on pace.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of experience with a bachelor's degree, 8 years with a master's, and 5 years with a PhD.
• At least 4 years in strategy consulting, corporate strategy or another high-rigor role.
• Experience or strong interest in complex, technical or regulated industries such as aerospace, defense, AI or advanced manufacturing.
• U.S. citizenship required, with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
