Vice President, Employment Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned employment attorney to lead our employment law function as Vice President, Employment Counsel. Based in New York City, this senior in‑office role reports directly to the Executive Vice President & General Counsel of FOX News Media and collaborates closely with senior labor and employment leaders across Fox Corporation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day legal advice to the Executive Vice President, General Counsel, HR professionals and senior executives on all employment law matters.
• Oversee and manage outside counsel, directing employment litigation and administrative proceedings in New York and other jurisdictions.
• Conduct and synthesize legal research on employment‑related issues and emerging case law.
• Develop, deliver, and support employment‑law training programs for internal stakeholders.
• Draft, review, and negotiate employment‑related documents, commercial contracts and vendor agreements.

Required profile

• J.D. with 6‑8 years of employment litigation and counseling experience, preferably from a national law firm or in‑house at a public company.
• Active admission to the New York Bar.
• Proven ability to formulate and execute litigation strategy and to advise senior executives.
• Strong independent work ethic combined with collaborative team skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, judgment and self‑direction.
• Availability to work onsite in the New York City office five days a week.
