Financial Services Regulatory Enforcement Associate (Junior to Mid-Level)

About the role

Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is seeking a motivated associate with 2‑3 years of experience to join its Financial Services Regulatory Enforcement practice. The role involves representing financial institutions and fintech companies in government investigations and regulatory enforcement matters across federal and state agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Represent clients in regulatory investigations, respond to subpoenas, civil investigative demands and regulatory examinations.
• Draft submissions, advocacy materials, motions, legal memoranda and other documents for enforcement matters.
• Conduct internal investigations, manage document collections and fact‑finding productions.
• Advise clients on regulatory risk, emerging enforcement trends and mitigation strategies.
• Assist clients in preparing for high‑stakes meetings, presentations and negotiations with regulators.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of legal experience in regulatory enforcement, government investigations or related litigation.
• Experience handling matters involving financial services regulators or government enforcement agencies.
• J.D. from an accredited law school and active (or eligible) state bar membership.
• Strong analytical, research and writing abilities with excellent communication skills.
