Vice President, Capital Markets & Investor Relations

About the role

Commonwealth Fusion Systems is seeking a Vice President to lead its Capital Markets and Investor Relations function. The role will own equity‑based capital formation, manage a sophisticated shareholder base, and build the investor‑facing infrastructure needed to fund the company’s fusion power plant roadmap.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute equity raise processes, including investor targeting, material preparation, management meetings, and diligence across growth equity, strategic, sovereign, infrastructure, and public‑crossover capital.
• Develop and maintain all investor‑facing artifacts such as the master deck, one‑pager, investor updates, diligence packs, and virtual data room.
• Present the equity story alongside the CEO and CFO, defend it under investor questioning, and incorporate market feedback.
• Collaborate closely with the CFO on capital strategy and with Corporate Development on the master narrative.
• Hire and lead a small team as the function scales.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in equity financing, investor relations, or capital markets at a senior level.
• Proven ability to manage relationships with institutional, strategic, and sovereign investors.
• Strong analytical and communication skills to craft and defend investment narratives.
• Track record of leading cross‑functional teams and delivering complex financing transactions.
