Director, Manufacturing, Operations & Supply Chain Finance

About the role

Commonwealth Fusion Systems seeks a senior finance leader to drive financial strategy for its manufacturing, operations and supply‑chain functions. Reporting to the VP of FP&A, you will shape cost management, capital investment and scalability as the company moves from proof‑of‑concept to full‑scale production.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary financial advisor to manufacturing and supply‑chain leadership, translating results into actionable operational decisions.
• Own multi‑year budgeting, cash‑flow forecasting and long‑range planning, delivering KPI dashboards for senior leadership.
• Lead make‑vs‑buy, sourcing and vertical‑integration analyses, building business cases, ROI/NPV models and post‑investment reviews.
• Develop and maintain the finance infrastructure – data, processes, reporting systems – required for rapid scaling.
• Provide finance partnership to plant operations, supporting production planning, inventory control and procurement strategies.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in manufacturing and operations finance, preferably in high‑tech or industrial environments.
• Proven ability to influence senior operational leaders and drive strategic financial decisions.
• Strong track record of managing finance teams and delivering large‑scale capital projects.
• Executive presence with excellent communication and analytical skills.
