Upper Extremities Sales Associate - Phoenix, AZ

About the role

Stryker is hiring an Upper Extremities Sales Associate in Phoenix, Arizona. This is a field-based position that partners closely with the area's Sales Representatives to learn the medical device industry and the Upper Extremities business, then help grow it in the assigned territory. The associate acts as the primary backup contact for the Sales Representatives.

Key responsibilities

• Cover cases in the assigned territory, promote products in assigned accounts, build sets, manage inventory and begin converting customers to Stryker.
• Attend surgeries using Stryker Upper Extremities products to ensure availability and instruct surgeons on product use.
• Educate doctors, nurses and staff on proper use, maintenance, product updates and portfolio changes.
• Identify sales opportunities with the Sales Representative, respond to prospect needs and perform field calls.
• Tailor the promotional message, advise on product selection and answer questions about functionality and competition.
• Assist in implementing new sales plans and marketing strategies, and help meet and exceed business targets.
• Partner on inventory management, customer purchase orders and invoicing, and resolve account problems.
• Stay current on industry, customer and competitive trends, attend sales and professional association meetings outside regular hours, and maintain sales and product training.
• Follow regulatory compliance and AdvaMed principles, including confidentiality, ethics and adherence to federal, state and local laws.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree or medical certification (e.g., CST, PT, CPT) plus at least 2 years of professional or related experience.
• High school diploma plus at least 4 years of professional or related experience, or 4 years of active duty military service.
• Preferred: demonstrated success in sales, military service, leadership, athletics or performance-based environments; healthcare or clinical exposure; bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Biology, Healthcare Administration, Business or a related field; completion of a relevant internship or sales/healthcare experience.

What we offer

• Salary of $65,000, with eligibility for commission and/or bonuses and benefits.
• 40% travel percentage.
