Ultrasound Technologist II

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist II to perform high‑quality ultrasound examinations for patients of varying ages. The position includes night shift work, on‑call, weekend and holiday rotations.

Key responsibilities

• Identify patients using two identifiers, verify orders and consult radiologists as needed.
• Perform imaging examinations following established protocols, including specialized vascular studies.
• Produce diagnostic images, process them, and ensure proper attachment in PACS.
• Document patient history, signs, symptoms, and preliminary findings accurately.
• Maintain and clean sonographic equipment, submit maintenance requests, and perform minor repairs.

Required profile

• Graduate of an approved CAHEA diagnostic medical sonography program and in good standing with ARDMS.
• Minimum 3 years of ultrasound experience and 2 years of vascular ultrasound experience.
• Ability to handle confidential medical information ethically.
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association) and state licensure upon hire.
