Advanced Pediatric Practitioner – Hospital Medicine

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking an advanced practitioner to provide in‑house coverage for the newborn nursery, pediatric unit, and high‑risk newborn deliveries at Lehigh Valley Hospital‑Hazleton. The position combines 24‑hour in‑house shifts with supervising physician duties.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in the newborn nursery and pediatric unit, including high‑risk deliveries.
• Respond to calls from the supervising physician and act as the on‑site clinical leader during shifts.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across LVHN’s pediatric specialties.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics.
• Ability to obtain a Pennsylvania Medical License.
• Experience in newborn care and resuscitation.

Required skills

• Newborn care and resuscitation techniques.
• Knowledge of Level IV NICU operations.
