Traveling Entry-Level Medical Assistant – Ophthalmic Technician

About the role

Austin Retina Associates is seeking compassionate, dependable individuals to start a career as a traveling entry‑level Medical Assistant and Ophthalmic Technician. No prior ophthalmic experience is required – you will receive hands‑on training while traveling between clinics in Central Texas.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome patients, gather and document medical histories, and guide them through visits.
• Perform vision testing and diagnostic imaging, prepare exam rooms, and record clinical information.
• Assist physicians with exams, treatments, and procedures, ensuring patients feel informed and comfortable.

Required profile

• Willingness to learn and a strong commitment to patient care.
• Dependable, detail‑oriented, and able to communicate clearly.
• Valid Texas driver’s license, reliable transportation, and satisfactory driving record.
• Spanish bilingual skills are a strong plus.
