Traveling Assistant Superintendent

About the role

Freyssinet USA is looking for a motivated Assistant Superintendent to support field operations across multiple project sites in Virginia and North Carolina. The role assists the Superintendent in daily coordination, safety oversight, and documentation to keep projects on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in overseeing daily on‑site operations and coordinating work activities.
• Support field crews by providing information, equipment, and materials needed to complete tasks.
• Monitor work progress, report updates, issues, or delays to project leadership.
• Promote a safety culture through daily checks, toolbox talks, and jobsite inspections.
• Help manage site logistics, including equipment placement, material staging, and general organization.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or construction education is a plus.
• Prior experience in construction, field operations, or crew leadership preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to read basic construction plans and specifications.
• Dependable, organized, and comfortable working outdoors in physically demanding environments.

Required skills

• OSHA 10/30 certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Valid driver’s license.
