Travel Nurse RN – Med Surg – $2,180 per week

About the role

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in Medical‑Surgical care for a 13‑week travel assignment in Palestine, Texas. The position offers $2,180 per week for a 36‑hour workweek, with 12‑hour day and night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct, individualized nursing care to medical‑surgical patients.
• Consult and coordinate with the health‑care team to develop and evaluate patient care plans.
• Administer oral, subcutaneous, and IV medications and document all administrations.
• Educate patients and families on surgical procedures and post‑treatment home care.
• Record vital signs, medical information, and monitor specialized equipment.
• Perform wound care, catheter insertion, IV starts, and dressing changes.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Respond to life‑saving situations and participate in discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all patient care activities.

Required profile

• Current Texas RN license or multi‑state compact license.
• Valid BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Minimum two years recent Med‑Surg experience in an acute‑care hospital setting.

Required skills

• Medication administration (oral, subcutaneous, IV).
• IV therapy and catheter insertion.
• Vital signs monitoring and equipment operation.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
