Trauma Sales Representative - Twin Cities

About the role

Stryker is hiring a Trauma Sales Representative based in the Twin Cities (Minneapolis). The role is field-based and involves selling Stryker trauma products to surgeons and healthcare professionals, working with a high degree of intensity and commitment. It is a 100% commission position eligible for bonuses and benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Become the resident trauma expert for a sophisticated audience of surgeons and healthcare professionals.
• Organize materials and sort possible solutions quickly during operating room and emergency room consultations.
• Maintain and manage your product inventory and assist customers whenever needed.
• Build credibility with surgeons through knowledge of both your products and competitors' offerings, giving advice and training on products and tools used to save lives.
• Attend sales meetings and professional association meetings outside regular business hours as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of experience in a clinical healthcare or sales role (or a combination of the two).
• 3+ years of sales experience preferred.
• Experience building and maintaining relationships with surgeons and hospitals in the area would be beneficial.
• Comfortable in emergency and operating room environments.
• Willingness to work an on-call schedule including nights, weekends and holidays; candidates who decline this will not be penalized in future opportunities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting and selling products, including marketing strategy, product demonstration, sales techniques and sales control systems.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Use of current office technologies such as MS Office and databases.
• Adherence to compliance and ethical principles (AdvaMed), including confidentiality and reporting non-compliance.
