Transportation Construction Leader

About the role

ISG is hiring a Transportation Construction Leader to join its Transportation team, which serves WisDOT, county and city clients across Wisconsin through offices in La Crosse, Green Bay and Brookfield. The role sits alongside the Construction Administration leader in Eastern Wisconsin and the Senior Project Manager, and involves managing transportation projects, delivering project documents within budget and time, and providing technical guidance and mentoring to the project team. It is a field-based position with travel to job sites.

Key responsibilities

• Manage WisDOT, county and city transportation construction projects
• Run pre-construction, public information and weekly construction meetings
• Perform civil engineering calculations and prepare engineering plans, designs and reports
• Oversee construction, including inspections when needed
• Act as liaison with clients, government and regulatory authorities and contractors
• Deliver project documents within budget and time while meeting client requirements
• Develop client relationships and business growth
• Mentor project team members, including engineers and technical support staff
• Assist with detailed design of transportation and municipal infrastructure projects when in the office
• Handle contract administration of municipal projects

Required profile

• A strong foundation in public infrastructure administration
• Comfortable leading projects independently and contributing to team growth
• Proven track record and solid references
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record; travel to job sites is required
• Adaptable, proactive year-round construction staff

Required skills

• Civil engineering calculations and engineering plans and reports
• Experience with WisDOT standards and Civil 3D is a plus, not required
