Water/Mold Restoration Team Member

About the role

ServiceMaster Restore 7658 in Cedar Park is hiring a full-time Water/Mold Restoration Team Member. The team member monitors, inspects and completes tasks for water restoration and mold remediation jobs, ensuring drying, demolition and other restoration activities are finished. Documentation is prepared and reviewed so that insurance companies can reimburse the work.

Key responsibilities

• Retrieve work orders and make sure the right equipment and supplies are loaded on the truck
• Explain the processes used to complete jobs and the steps to resolution to customers, using printed materials as a guide, with or without a supervisor
• Complete assigned jobs following company processes while maintaining quality control
• Perform restoration including water extraction, pack-out of contents, removal and disposal of non-salvageable materials, and light construction and demolition as directed by the supervisor
• Ensure equipment, supplies, vehicles and products are handled properly, report malfunctions or damage, and inspect completed jobs before obtaining customer signatures
• Monitor daily water jobs, adjust the drying plan based on meter readings, and resolve customer issues
• Communicate customer issues and daily job activity with the supervisor and key staff, and prepare documentation and photos per company policy

Required profile

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
• One year of water and/or mold experience preferred
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English, or bilingual
• Ability to prioritize activities and meet deadlines
• Physical ability to lift up to 70 pounds, stand and walk for long periods, and use respirators that seal to the face

Required skills

• Working knowledge of MICA preferred
• Experience using mobile software to enter data
• Ability to read and follow product label instructions
• Certifications such as WTR (Water Damage Restoration Technician) or ASD (Applied Structural Drying Technician) preferred but not required
