Training Support Technician I (1st Shift)

About the role

The Training Support Technician I works the 1st shift (6:30 am – 3:00 pm) performing preventative maintenance and basic repairs on fire training props and handling minor building maintenance requests. The role reports to the Maintenance Foreman and may support other programs as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs on ESTI fire field training props.
• Handle minor building maintenance and repair requests.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as skid steer loaders, forklifts, man lifts, riding mowers, and mules.
• Complete required out‑sourced training and obtain certifications within specified timeframes.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (associate’s or bachelor’s degree acceptable with no experience).
• At least one year of maintenance experience in basic electrical, carpentry, plumbing, or related trades.
• Valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Willingness to complete safety orientation and equipment training within six months.
