Travelling Superintendent - Data Center Construction (MI, KS, TX)

About the role

A leading general contractor delivering large-scale data center projects across the United States is seeking an experienced travelling superintendent. The role covers field operations, project schedules, subcontractor management and the delivery of mission-critical facilities, with travel required to project locations in the U.S., including Texas.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project completion.
• Manage daily field operations, subcontractors and site logistics.
• Drive project schedules and maintain milestone commitments.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, MEP teams, clients and trade partners.
• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with site safety requirements.
• Run subcontractor coordination meetings and field planning sessions.
• Monitor quality standards against project specifications.
• Proactively resolve construction challenges and schedule impacts.
• Manage inspections, punch lists and turnover activities.

Required profile

• Superintendent experience on large-scale data center, mission-critical, industrial, advanced manufacturing or highly technical projects.
• Strong understanding of structural, architectural, civil and MEP scopes.
• Ability to lead large subcontractor workforces and coordinate multiple trades.
• Experience delivering projects in the $200M+ range preferred.
• Willingness to travel or work on rotating project assignments.

Preferred experience

• Ground-up/greenfield data center, semiconductor or EV facility construction.
• Commissioning and turnover experience.
• Familiarity with critical power infrastructure, generators, UPS systems, switchgear and cooling systems.
• OSHA 30 certification.
