Toddler Teacher – RTH – Longwood Medical Area

About the role

The YMCA of Greater Boston is seeking an enthusiastic Toddler Teacher for its Longwood Medical Area location. You will join a team dedicated to providing family‑centered infant, toddler, and preschool care, fostering a safe and nurturing environment for young children.

Key responsibilities

• Prioritize children’s safety and emotional well‑being at all times.
• Plan and implement age‑appropriate curriculum that supports developmental milestones.
• Provide differentiated instruction to meet individual needs.
• Conduct child assessments and share feedback with parents and caregivers.
• Model YMCA character values and use positive behavior‑management techniques.
• Collaborate with co‑teacher to design and maintain the classroom space and materials.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Mission‑driven and committed to YMCA’s goals.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships with families, staff, and community partners.
• Passion for working with children and creating engaging educational experiences.
• At least 21 years old and hold an Early Education and Care (EEC) certification.
• Willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR, Child Abuse Prevention, Blood‑borne Pathogen, and Sexual Harassment training within specified timeframes.
