Tobacco Cessation Coordinator

About the role

The Tobacco Cessation Coordinator will lead community outreach and partnership development for the Tobacco Treatment Program, supporting initiatives such as Vape‑Free Schools, Tobacco‑Free Multi‑Unit Housing, and Clean Indoor Air policies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with schools, colleges, community organizations, local agencies, municipalities, and other key partners.
• Represent the Tobacco Treatment Program at community events, health fairs, meetings, educational programs, and coalition activities.
• Conduct outreach to in‑network and external provider practices to establish cessation partnerships.
• Document and report outreach activities through American Lung Association and PHMC portals.
• Identify and partner with sites covered by the Clean Indoor Air Act to improve tobacco‑free policies.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED.
• At least 5 years managing large projects, budgets, and public‑relations activities.
• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
• Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist (CTTS) to be obtained within one year of hire.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel.
• Experience managing grants and reporting data.
• Public speaking experience.
