Test and Quality Engineer - Service Delivery Center

About the role

EY is hiring a Test and Quality Engineer for its Service Delivery Center in Raleigh (also listed as Dallas), within a team of US-based colleagues supporting financial services clients. The role covers the design, build, configuration, testing, analysis, delivery and support of technology solutions, and is described as fast-paced and ever-changing. It is an entry-level, hands-on position where you build your skills across the full delivery lifecycle under the guidance of experienced colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Support quality through test planning, functional testing, automation and release readiness for financial services clients.
• Assist with test design, execution and defect tracking, and contribute to assigned workstreams.
• Learn the team's tools and standards, and apply the quality, testing and automation standards.
• Work in a project team delivering technology project-based work and managed services.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least two years of relevant experience in software testing and quality assurance.
• Exposure to software testing, quality assurance and test automation.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
• Comfortable working in Agile environments and collaborating with business and technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Foundational knowledge of software testing, QA and test automation concepts.
• Foundational knowledge of automation frameworks such as JUnit, Selenium, Cucumber, ReadyAPI or REST Assured.
• Foundational knowledge of SQL for data validation and API testing concepts.
• Foundational knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, quality gates and defect tracking.
• Ideal: exposure to Java/J2EE, Unix/Linux shell, JavaScript, Spring, web services, Angular, Jenkins, and functional, regression, integration, API and performance testing.
