Java Full Stack / Back End Developer - Financial Services (Senior)

About the role

EY's Financial Services Organization (FSO) is hiring a Senior Java Full Stack or Back End developer for its Service Delivery Center, based in Raleigh (other locations mentioned are San Antonio and Dallas). The center delivers technology project-based work and managed services to clients, and you will work as part of a project team on the design, build, configuration, testing, analysis, delivery and support of technology solutions. The role is fast-paced and requires flexibility and the ability to learn rapidly changing technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist engagement teams in analyzing business requirements and delivering engineering solutions.
• Design, develop, integrate, test and deploy distributed software applications.
• Deliver high-quality systems focused on reliability and customer experience.
• Work with client engagement teams to foster an innovative and inclusive environment.
• Recommend improvements to engagement and client service based on knowledge of current technology and industry trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in technology software development.
• Full-stack software product development experience, with a preferred understanding of DevOps.
• Ability to work in an Agile environment and to travel up to 30% of the time.

Required skills

• Back-end: Java, Python, Node.js, REST, NoSQL, Microservices, Serverless, AWS or Azure.
• Front-end: React, Angular or responsive web design.
• RESTful APIs, cloud-native and microservices architectures, IaaS/PaaS and container deployment.
• Git, CI/CD pipelines, unit and integration testing frameworks, and knowledge of TDD or BDD.
• Nice to have: Akka/Scala, Kafka/RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, Hadoop/Spark, Mongo/Cassandra.
