Tennis Stringer

About the role

Midtown is looking for a Tennis Stringer in Palatine to fulfill member requests and maintain strong product knowledge of all types of string, string patterns and racquets. The role provides proper support to custom fit each member's tennis needs and keeps the stringing equipment and workspace in good order.

Key responsibilities

• Perform stringing, re-stringing and racquet maintenance
• Keep the stringing machine in proper working condition
• Maintain a clean and tidy workspace and stay up to date on the latest stringing technology
• Greet all members and answer questions about products and services
• Assist with inventory and receiving product
• Other duties as assigned

Required profile

• Basic understanding of all tennis-related retail products
• Ability to string or service a large quantity of racquets daily
• History of working in a tennis-specific environment
• Excellent customer service, listening and interpersonal skills
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb and lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred skills

• USRSA certification
• Certified Stringer (CS)
• Master Racquet Technician (MRT)

What we offer
