Technology Consulting Intern 2027

About the role

Protiviti is hiring a Technology Consulting Intern for its Chicago office in 2027. Interns work with Protiviti's clients, typically among the world's leading companies, collaborating with the team to deliver client-focused solutions to complex business problems. The internship offers exposure to several industries, hands-on training and a preview of Foundations, the entry-level full-time career path.

Key responsibilities

• Work with clients on projects assigned by Talent Managers, covering areas such as Business Platform Transformation, Enterprise Data, Analytics & AI, Microsoft, Security and Privacy, Technology Risk and Resilience, and Technology Strategy and Architecture.
• Take part in Liftoff, the onboarding experience, and The Intern Challenge, an experiential learning course.
• Receive hands-on training and interact with leaders across the practice, supported by a network of advisors.
• Join committees, employee network groups and social, civic and networking activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, IoT, Machine Learning).
• Currently enrolled in a degree program and expected to graduate within 12 months after the internship.
• U.S. work authorization without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Experience solving problems with AI-powered productivity and collaboration tools (e.g. Microsoft Copilot, GenAI).
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills and ability to apply critical thinking to client engagements.

Required skills

• Preferred: familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, Cognos, MicroStrategy, SSRS, and databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle.
• Preferred: entry-level knowledge of IT controls, IT and business risks, and programming skills such as Python, Java, JavaScript.
