Technical Consultant – Mid-Market

About the role

Technical Consultants work on the frontlines to establish partnerships with Ramp customers, acting as a liaison between customers and internal technical teams. You will partner with Customer Activation and Account Management to design and implement financial solutions for mid‑market clients.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a technical advisor for high‑value implementations, guiding integration, configuration, and system design.
• Partner with Customer Activation and Account Management to assess requirements and propose scalable ERP, HRIS, and API integration solutions.
• Collaborate with onboarding specialists and implementation leads to support technical workstreams and accelerate time‑to‑value.
• Conduct technical discovery, recommend best‑fit Ramp architecture, and troubleshoot integration blockers.
• Serve as subject‑matter expert across HRIS and accounting integration partners, influencing product roadmap with customer feedback.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, finance, business, or related field.
• 2+ years in technical consulting, solutions engineering, implementation, or a similar customer‑facing technical role, preferably in SaaS or fintech.
• Strong communication skills to translate complex technical solutions into business value.
• Collaborative mindset with ability to work cross‑functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering.

Required skills

• Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle Fusion, and SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience with finance/accounting workflows and integration logic.
• Comfort working with APIs and system architecture, able to explain concepts to finance and operations stakeholders.
