About the role
Esri is hiring a Technical Consultant for its Professional Services team in St. Louis, Missouri. The consultant works directly with mission-driven customers to design, deploy, migrate, troubleshoot and optimize ArcGIS Enterprise environments, combining hands-on ArcGIS expertise with enterprise IT knowledge across operating systems, cloud, containers, databases, storage, authentication, security, high availability and disaster recovery. The position is onsite and offers relocation assistance to the St. Louis area.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deploy ArcGIS Enterprise environments
- Support enterprise migrations and modernization
- Troubleshoot complex platform and infrastructure issues
- Work across Windows, Linux, cloud and containerized environments
- Support high availability and disaster recovery strategies
- Configure and optimize enterprise ArcGIS systems
- Collaborate with customer technical teams and give guidance on deployment practices
- Support advanced upgrades and enterprise system changes
Required profile
- 5+ years of professional experience implementing and supporting enterprise GIS systems
- Experience administering ArcGIS Enterprise
- Bachelor's degree in geography, computer science, mathematics, GIS or a STEM-related field
- US citizenship with an active or current (within 2 years of active) Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
- Ability to travel up to 25%
Required skills
- Familiarity with troubleshooting server-based systems
- Systematic, best-practice driven approach to system engineering
- Clear communication of technical concepts to customers, executives and technical audiences
- Preferred: cloud provider experience, scripting (shell, Python, PowerShell), Windows/Linux/Kubernetes administration, and networking basics (HTTP, TCP, TLS, DNS)

- Estimated base salary of $84,240-$142,480 USD
