Senior Performance & Security Engineer

About the role

Blossom, a U.S.-based fintech company with over 20 years of experience building technology solutions for credit unions, is looking for a Senior Performance & Security Engineer. The role helps ensure its digital banking platform is secure, reliable and able to perform under demanding conditions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in performance, reliability or application security engineering.
• Experience building performance or security testing practices from the ground up.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• English level B2 or higher.

Required skills

• Load testing tools such as k6, JMeter, Gatling or Locust.
• Web and API penetration testing with Burp Suite or similar.
• SQL and database performance optimization, preferably PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, Grafana or Datadog.
• AWS, CI/CD integration and performance monitoring.
• Multi-tenant systems or regulated financial environments are a plus.
