Senior System Engineer - ArcGIS

About the role

Esri is hiring a Senior System Engineer for ArcGIS in St. Louis, Missouri. You will deploy and optimize advanced, mission-critical ArcGIS deployments and partner directly with customers to share best practices on ArcGIS Enterprise deployment architecture and integration. The team supports Defense and Intelligence clients and works within Esri's Professional Services division, which delivers consulting and implementation solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and configure complex ArcGIS installations across operating systems, cloud providers, security architectures and customer types to meet service level agreements.
• Plan and execute migrations of content between ArcGIS deployments, covering different architectures, deployment strategies and software components.
• Troubleshoot advanced ArcGIS deployments and guide platform components such as storage, networking and security.
• Work with customers and partners to identify, design and certify key GIS workflows for the ArcGIS platform.
• Help customer organizations align their technical objectives and business goals with Esri's technology platform.

Required profile

• 12+ years of professional experience in a similar position.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, GIS or a STEM-related field.
• US citizenship with an active or current (within 2 years of active) Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.

Required skills

• Experience designing, implementing and administering enterprise ArcGIS or comparable desktop, server and online systems.
• Broad system administration on Windows and/or Linux.
• Scripting or programming in at least one language such as Python, PowerShell, JavaScript or C#.
• Familiarity with networks (domains, directories, DNS, HTTPS, firewalls, proxies, load balancing).
• At least one RDBMS with SQL queries (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Preferred: Esri software (ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Runtime) and cloud-based system operations.

• Estimated base salary of $156,000-$239,200 USD.
