Team Leader - Warehouse

About the role

Kaisha Service is hiring a Team Leader for its Lafayette warehouse. The Team Leader leads the team's daily operations, helps train other team members and may perform the same warehouse duties, including forklift operation, inventory control, receiving and shipping. The position is on the second shift, starting at 4:30 pm.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead the team's daily operations
• Unpack, repack and place items
• Use tools and visual aids to confirm quantities of freight received and shipped
• Operate a forklift and/or crane for loading and unloading, and other machines such as a scan gun
• Inspect products before shipping
• Clean the work area according to 5S standards
• Enter production data into basic spreadsheet systems
• Maintain paperwork for incoming and outgoing products
• Participate in team meetings and training

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; supervisory experience preferred
• Forklift experience
• Able to meet physical demands: regular walking, bending, reaching and standing, handling materials and operating heavy machinery, lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, working in hot and cold environments and wearing safety shoes and glasses
