Logistics Specialist

About the role

Kaisha Service is looking for a Logistics Specialist in Farmington Hills who acts as a key link between overseas suppliers, internal stakeholders and customers. The role covers end-to-end supply chain oversight, proactive financial management and data-driven decision making, with a focus on financial integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Manage international logistics operations, including documentation for outbound shipments, cross-border transfers and regulatory compliance, and adherence to customs requirements and delivery timelines.
• Handle direct procurement: evaluate customer and affiliate demand, negotiate with suppliers and issue purchase orders that optimise cost, quality and delivery.
• Maintain partnerships with sales teams on inventory status, order fulfilment and supply chain constraints that could affect customer commitments.
• Monitor shipment accuracy, on-time delivery and service level agreements, and take corrective action when targets are missed.
• Drive continuous improvement, including root cause analysis of operational problems and cross-functional projects.
• Keep customer forecasts aligned with actual orders to support financial performance, working capital and supplier planning.
• Manage and avoid aged accounts receivable, and work with manufacturers to meet capacity needs and resolve supplier issues.
• Make key decisions on raw material procurement and inventory management to ensure continuous delivery of finished goods and avoid aged inventory.

Required profile

• Associate's degree; 6-9 years of experience is preferred.
• Ability to lead, orient, train, assign and check the work of other administrative employees.
