Team Center Coordinator – Medical ICU

About the role

The Team Center Coordinator in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) provides top‑quality customer service to patients, families and visitors while supporting efficient department operations. Working days from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, the role blends administrative duties with direct patient care under RN supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Greet, orient and welcome newly admitted or transferred patients.
• Respond to patient call lights, make rounds, and assist with basic patient care activities such as vital signs, personal care and transports.
• Process admissions, transfers and discharges, and maintain patient medical records.
• Assist with unit clerical functions, troubleshoot equipment failures, and support wayfinding for patients and families.
• Report abnormal findings to an RN and help keep patient rooms clean and orderly.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• One year of recent full‑time experience in patient care, customer service, or related field, or equivalent education/training.
• Typing ability and computer training or equivalent coursework.
• Ability to stand, walk extensively and perform moderate physical tasks.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Typing and general computer operation skills.
