RN – Telemetry

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Martin North Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its 25‑bed 5NE Telemetry Unit. This full‑time day shift position (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) provides direct care to patients of all ages recovering from stroke, alcohol withdrawal and other acute conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and implement, monitor, and update patient care plans.
• Record, document, and communicate patient conditions; administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Carry out physician and nursing orders, assess discharge needs, and educate patients and families.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN or BSN) and hold current state RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (or obtain within the first year).
• At least one year of acute‑care RN experience or equivalent military RN experience.

Required skills

• BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (obtainable within 30 days of hire).
