Teaching Faculty – Undergraduate Didactic-Focused (9 or 12 Month)

About the role

The Florida State University College of Nursing seeks collaborative educators to join its on‑campus undergraduate program. These full‑time, non‑tenure‑track faculty members will focus on delivering high‑quality didactic instruction in community health, pediatrics, or mental health.

Key responsibilities

• Provide didactic, laboratory, and/or clinical nursing instruction in the assigned subject area.
• Promote student success through engaging teaching methods.
• Participate in curriculum planning, organization, and development.
• Supervise, evaluate, and mentor undergraduate nursing students.
• Document student progress accurately and timely.
• Contribute to departmental and team meetings.
• Deliver academic service with professionalism and accessibility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Academic doctorate (PhD, DNP) or highest‑level terminal nursing degree from an accredited institution.
• Active Florida RN or APRN license, or eligibility to obtain licensure within 30 days of hire.
• Relevant teaching experience in pediatrics, mental health, or community health.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff.
