About the role

The Challenge Golf Course at Akron Rehabilitation and Sports Therapy is seeking a part‑time Teaching Assistant to train clients in golfing fundamentals, supporting both able‑bodied and challenged students.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group golf training sessions.
  • Handle cash and receipts for challenge golf fees.
  • Close the facility, manage and charge golf carts.
  • Assemble, set up, and store equipment for classes.
  • Practice with students to reinforce techniques taught.

Required profile

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
  • Excellent people skills and ability to work with diverse abilities.
  • Experience handling money.

Required skills

  • Knowledge of golf fundamentals and swing mechanics.
  • Ability to select appropriate equipment for individual challenges.
  • Maintain safety practices while training and supervising students.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb, stand, walk, and operate golf carts.
