Tax Consultant – Training & Education

About the role

TaxWatch is seeking an experienced Tax Consultant to design and deliver web‑based and live training on tax law for public accounting firms. The role blends technical tax expertise with strong presentation and creative content development skills.

Key responsibilities

• Provide live, on‑site training at conferences, seminars, webinars, and client offices.
• Develop and update course content for TaxWatch University, customized training programs, and tax consulting services.
• Collaborate with subject‑matter experts to plan and coordinate learning product development.
• Technically review and edit course materials created by others.
• Travel 40–60 days per year, including cross‑country trips as needed.
• Conduct webinar training events on a variety of technical taxation topics.
• Prepare thoroughly for seminars and webinars and stay current on tax regulations.

Required profile

• Significant partnership tax experience.
• Bachelor’s degree (advanced degree desirable); CPA or equivalent certification.
• 8+ years of experience at an accounting firm in senior, manager, or senior‑manager roles, including supervision and client interaction.
• Teaching or technical writing experience preferred.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, and writing abilities.
• Self‑starter capable of remote work within a virtual team.
• Ability to meet internal and customer deadlines.
