Tax Compliance Specialist

About the role
Next Generation, Inc. is looking for a detail‑oriented Tax Compliance Specialist to manage federal, state and local tax filings, payments and agency interactions. The role is hands‑on, individual contributor and focuses on accurate, timely compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, review and file federal, state and local tax returns.
- Process tax payments and remittances through agency portals.
- Perform manual filings when required and reconcile tax liabilities.
- Research and resolve tax notices, inquiries and discrepancies.
- Maintain filing calendars, tax rates, account information and agency registrations.
- Support audits by providing requested tax documentation.
Required profile
- 3–5+ years of hands‑on federal, state and local tax compliance experience.
- Proven ability to prepare and file tax returns and process remittances.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple filing deadlines independently.

- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Office applications
- SAP (preferred)
