Systems Support Specialist

About the role

The Systems Support Specialist maintains in‑house computer systems, desktops and peripherals, ensuring optimal workstation performance and providing end‑user training and assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain procedures for logging, reporting and monitoring PC and server performance.
• Document hardware failures, repairs, installations and removals.
• Assist in long‑term capacity planning and development of new hardware projects.
• Research, evaluate and recommend hardware products for procurement.
• Install, configure, test, maintain and troubleshoot workstations, peripherals and networking hardware.
• Provide on‑site analysis, diagnosis and resolution of complex PC problems and support junior team members.

Required profile

• Excellent technical knowledge of network and PC hardware with hands‑on troubleshooting experience.
• Extensive experience supporting Windows environments and current network protocols.
• Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with a customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a high‑pressure environment.
