Systems Engineer

About the role

As a Systems Engineer at Avidyne you will define, integrate, and verify avionics systems for cockpit displays, turning customer and regulatory requirements into certified products.

Key responsibilities

• Define, allocate and manage system‑level requirements, author specifications, ICDs and design records.
• Plan and execute system integration, verification and validation activities in line with ARP4754A, DO‑178C and DO‑254.
• Support certification by preparing compliance documentation and coordinating with certification liaisons.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, mechanical and manufacturing teams to transition designs to production.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree in systems, electrical, aerospace or related engineering.
• 2+ years of industry experience with systems engineering principles and avionics development.
• Ability to work independently, manage requirements and communicate across multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Jama, Polarion).
• Knowledge of ARP4754A, ARP4761, DO‑178C, DO‑254 and FAA/EASA certification processes.
• Experience with safety assessments such as FHA and SSA.
• Familiarity with avionics hardware, cockpit displays and human‑machine interfaces.
