Production Technician – Valve (3rd Shift)

About the role

The Production Technician works the 3rd shift in the Valve Department, setting up, adjusting, and verifying CNC and manual assembly equipment to ensure safe and efficient production.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and program CNC machines, manual and automated assembly equipment according to drawings, specifications and program instructions.
• Identify and report programming errors, collaborate with Maintenance and Manufacturing Engineering, and perform first‑piece quality checks using precision measurement tools.
• Diagnose and correct operating difficulties, adjust tooling, recalibrate limits, and repair minor malfunctions.
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedules, record machine maintenance, downtime, and reject analysis.
• Support new product launches through first‑article, RFP and RFS production stages.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail, documentation skills and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and basic pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Experience working with hand tools, gauges and large‑scale machines in a manufacturing environment.

Required skills

• CNC equipment operation and programming
• CAD/CAM software familiarity
• PLC programming and troubleshooting
• Use of calipers, indicators, volt meters, ring gauges
• Knowledge of Total Predictive Management and Total Process Reliability concepts
• Understanding of GD&T and basic algebra/geometry
