Industrial Electrician

About the role

Shermco Industries is seeking an Industrial Electrician. This position involves extensive domestic travel (90‑100%) and hands‑on work alongside engineers and field technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission, and maintain power, instrumentation, process controls, and SCADA equipment.
• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on power, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Provide technical expertise and support for troubleshooting of power and control systems.
• Coordinate repair, testing, and installation of power and control systems.
• Mechanical and electrical installations, including rigid, EMT, and PVC‑coated conduit.
• Install service feeders, branch circuits, fiber and network cabling, stainless tubing, and instrumentation.
• Service equipment such as motor control centers (MCC) and panelboards.

Required profile

• Master Electrician, Journeyman Electrician, or Apprentice Electrician is a plus but not required.
• Field experience in the industrial sector with power and control systems.
• Understanding of electrical schematics and controls.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Team‑oriented, flexible and willing to assist in other technical disciplines.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Willingness to work hands‑on in the field alongside engineers and technicians.
• Clear verbal and written communication in English with customers and co‑workers.
