Systems Administrator

About the role

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a motivated Systems Administrator to join a diverse team focused on delivering secure, reliable IT services. The role involves managing both classified and unclassified environments while ensuring compliance with DoD, DCSA, and Intelligence Community security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Administer user and privileged accounts, enforce access controls, and perform system performance tuning.
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows and UNIX operating systems, as well as associated application software.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for client/server systems, storage, network devices, mobile devices, and peripherals.
• Implement and verify security controls using STIGs, Group Policies, and RMF lifecycle activities.
• Conduct patch management, vulnerability remediation, antivirus updates, and log auditing.
• Maintain Microsoft 365, Exchange, SharePoint, Active Directory, and related services.
• Document security posture, create POA&Ms, and assist in all phases of the ATO process.

Required profile

• Proven experience in enterprise system administration within regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of DoD/DCSA security requirements and RMF processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware, software, OS, and network issues.
• Excellent communication skills for incident escalation and status reporting.
