Databricks Engineer – Data Engineer II (Top Secret Clearance)

About the role

Join Deloitte’s AI & Engineering team as a Databricks Engineer (Data Engineer II) working on government and public sector projects. You will design, build, and maintain data pipelines and curated tables in Databricks to support analytics and AI initiatives, while holding an active Top Secret clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines in Databricks, collaborating with a technical lead.
• Create, populate, and manage bronze, silver, and gold tables from multiple data sources.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and PySpark transformations for large‑scale data processing.
• Ensure data quality, documentation, and adherence to security requirements.

Required profile

• Active Top Secret clearance (or ability to obtain and maintain).
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2+ years of experience in data engineering, data integration, or data management.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• SQL (Structured Query Language).
• Python programming.
• PySpark.
• Databricks platform.
• Experience with cloud‑based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
