Systems Administrator

About the role

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking an enthusiastic, well‑qualified Systems Administrator to manage enterprise‑level client/server environments across both classified and unclassified domains. The role ensures system availability, security, integrity, and performance while complying with DoD, DCSA, and Intelligence Community requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Administer user and privileged accounts, perform access control, and tune system performance.
• Install, configure, and maintain UNIX and Windows operating systems, server and desktop hardware, and related software.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, diagnose incidents, and resolve hardware, software, OS, and network issues.
• Manage Microsoft 365, Exchange, SharePoint, Active Directory, and related services.
• Implement and verify STIGs, Group Policies, and other DCSA security controls.
• Support the RMF lifecycle, conduct security assessments, create POA&Ms, and assist with ATO processes.
• Perform patch management, vulnerability remediation, antivirus updates, and log auditing.
• Document system policies, conduct self‑inspections, and advise the ISSM on security posture.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic individual with solid experience in enterprise system administration.
• Familiarity with classified/unclassified environments and DoD/DCSA security requirements.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cybersecurity teams.

Required skills

• UNIX/Linux and Windows Server administration.
• Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Exchange, SharePoint.
• STIG implementation, Group Policy management, RMF lifecycle support.
• Patch management, vulnerability remediation, antivirus and log auditing.
• Hardware/software installation, network troubleshooting, storage device management.
