Survey CAD Technician

About the role

Cardinal Civil Resources seeks a Survey CAD Technician to perform office and field data tasks, produce CAD drawings, and support civil engineering projects with high accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Perform data reduction, field note reduction, calculations, data checks, and staking computations using survey computer programs and IntelliCAD.
• Produce daily CAD deliverables for boundary, topographic, house location surveys, grading plans, easement plats, and ALTA/NSPS land title surveys.
• Utilize Carlson Civil Suites with IntelliCAD as primary software and GIS as secondary tools.
• Conduct mathematical calculations, verify field data, and interpret plans and specifications.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent with strong background in math, geometry, and trigonometry.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a civil engineering environment.
• Valid driver’s license with insurable record; ability to pass background check and drug testing.
• Excellent attendance, punctuality, reliability, and interpersonal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Carlson Civil Suites and IntelliCAD.
• Experience using GIS applications.
• Ability to perform detailed data checks and staking computations.
