Surgical Technologist Educator

About the role

The Surgical Technologist Educator provides clinical education for surgical technologists and students in perioperative areas at Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital. The role includes new‑hire orientation, in‑service training, and support for ongoing professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage enterprise‑wide surgical technology programs, including orientation, competency assessments, internship coordination, and student project oversight.
• Collaborate with perioperative education teams and nursing leadership to design, deliver, and evaluate educational offerings.
• Serve as liaison with academic partners, committees, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
• Develop and implement training schedules, clinical rotations, and continuing‑education programs for caregivers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or Associate’s degree with four years of relevant experience.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong time‑management, teamwork, and communication skills.
