About the role

The Surgical Technician Clinical Coordinator leads the Surgical Technology degree program across multiple campuses, delivering instruction in classroom, lab, online, and hybrid formats. This position blends curriculum development, student advising, and program management to ensure high‑quality education and safe learning environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop curriculum, syllabi, and lesson plans for surgical technology courses.
• Teach program‑specific courses using hands‑on labs, simulations, and virtual platforms.
• Evaluate student progress, provide advisement, and support recruitment, retention, and job placement.
• Manage budgeting, prepare budget requests, and maintain supplies and equipment.
• Conduct safety audits, ensure compliance with safety standards, and maintain laboratory cleanliness.
• Coordinate with adjunct faculty, participate in college committees, and handle administrative reporting.
• Suggest and integrate new technologies to keep the program current.

Required profile

• Experience in curriculum design, instruction, and program administration within surgical technology or a related health‑care field.
• Ability to evaluate student outcomes and provide academic advisement.
• Strong organizational skills for budgeting, equipment management, and documentation.
• Willingness to collaborate with faculty, staff, and external partners.
