About the role
West Georgia Technical College seeks an English Adjunct Instructor to teach credit‑bearing technical and occupational courses. The position is part‑time, term‑by‑term, and may include fall, spring, and summer sessions.
Key responsibilities
- Develop lesson plans and standardized syllabi for English courses using provided templates.
- Deliver instruction in classroom, lab, or field settings that simulate industry environments.
- Assess student progress, assign grades, and maintain required documentation and reports.
- Participate in professional development and stay current with trends in English education.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in English or a related discipline with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work with a diverse student population and adapt to day/evening or distance‑learning schedules.
Required skills
- Strong computer proficiency for course preparation and online delivery.
