Surgical RN – PRN with $8/hr Specialty Pay

About the role

Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Surgical Team on a PRN basis. The RN will provide peri‑operative care across a range of specialties and receive an additional $8 per hour specialty differential.

Key responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and the surgical team before, during, and after procedures in pre‑op, intra‑op, and post‑op settings.
• Develop and document individualized peri‑operative patient care plans in accordance with AORN standards.
• Assess patient progress, delegate tasks per Montana Nurse Practice Act, and ensure accurate, legible documentation.
• Participate in quality review, performance improvement projects, and act as a patient advocate.

Required profile

• Current RN license with two years of peri‑operative experience preferred.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (to be obtained within 3 months of hire); CNOR preferred.
• Flexibility to work rotating 24‑hour call shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Required skills

• Basic computer proficiency.
• Knowledge of nursing care principles, safety, infection control, and AORN guidelines.
• Strong assessment and patient‑care coordination abilities.
