Supply Chain Technician – Hospital Materials Management

About the role

The Supply Chain Technician supports Ochsner Health by processing, distributing, and managing medical supplies and equipment across hospital departments. The role ensures that all materials are received, inspected, stored, and delivered efficiently to keep patient care uninterrupted.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and inspect shipments, verify bill of lading and visual condition.
• Maintain inventory levels, perform cycle counts and end‑of‑year inventories.
• Restock, rotate, and decontaminate reusable medical supplies and equipment.
• Organize delivery carts, deliver items according to receiving reports, and obtain signatures.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs for non‑PO deliveries.
• Assist with special requests, general housekeeping, and support other inventory‑related tasks.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license (required for company vehicle use).
• Forklift certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire for Warehouse District Row location).
• Ability to travel between facilities and work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on‑call periods.
• Preferred: prior experience in materials management or a healthcare environment.
